Subject:

ACTIVISTS CHANGE STANCE ON GMOs AFTER SCIENTISTS GENETICALLY ALTER

Actually, this is not so far from the truth. I understand from
a friend in the British Columbia Forest Service that much of the
marijuana grown at the edges of clearcuts and in forest glades on
public land, is cloned from a very potent variety. The plants are
cloned in Vancouver, and distributed to the growers. So perhaps not
'modified' in quite the same sense as bTcorn, but certainly not
'natural' or 'organic'. (and the seeds of this variety are sterile,
too!!)

By the way, at least some of the opoosition to clearcutting in BC
forests comes from the hippie rural dwellers whose livelihood
(cultivating MJ) is threatened by forest harvesting..........They don't
seem to mention that in green propaganda, though..
