CBC Public Forum: The Safety of Genetically Modified Crops
Manna, Menace or Muddle

Quirks & Quarks is holding a public forum on Friday April 14 at 7 P.M.
in the Glenn Gould Auditorium of the CBC Building (250 Front St. W.),
Toronto, on the subject of the safety of genetically modified food
crops.

We're hoping to encourage some local scientists to attend and contribute
to the conversation. The forum will include presentations from four
panelists, followed by a question and answer session.

Dr. Ann Clark, Professor in the department of Plant Agriculture at the
University of Guelph
Dr Alan McHughen, Professor & Senior Research Scientist at the Crop
Development Centre at the University of Saskatchewan
Paul Mayers, Director of the Bureau of Policy Integration in the Food
Directorate of Health Protection Branch, Health Canada

Dr Rod MacRae, Food Policy Analyst and co-author of the Canadian best
selling book "Real Food for a Change"
